We made it!

Arrived in Italy at 12.30 pm on Saturday May 28th. Only had one delay at the last leg in Paris of one hour. The flights were wonderful and it was really nice to have seats that lay flat on the plane so sleeping was very comfortable.
Once we arrived in Venice we grabbed our rental car and started the drive North to A very tiny town called Carano, which sits next to Cavalese. Why go here? We used a exchange with our timeshare and picked this region.
The drive was a great intoduction to Italy in many ways. First off the road signs. As "Rick Steve's" quotes,It is like a video game and you have One quarter! I have to say Kurt was "The Bomb". We only had to turn around twice to make the correct road choice.
Then there was the scenery, the photos just don't do it justice, but thankfully we have camera's to capture the memories.
Upon arrival at our resort we were in awe. Surrounded by the first look at the Dolomite Mountain region. Cermis Mountains surrounded our resort, which is the first "layer" as they call the range.
In the morning we were enjoying our coffee overlooking the town of Cavalese and the Mountains and we see cows about 50 feet away in a meadow of Wild flowers.I burst into tears,,

The New Suitcase

Six days before we leave on our trip to Italy. We have a new suitcase that will not look the same when we get home.
